Continued Silence on VP's Alleged US$1 Million Dollar Home?: Is There a Murky Past to Foday Mansaray, APC's PRO and Mortgage Broker for Properties in the Somerset Area?
4.10.2008
FREETOWN: NEW PEOPLE CORRESPONDENT: Having failed to live up to his promise of legal action against The New People for asking questions pertinent to the alleged purchase of real property in the Bridgewater area of Somerset County, New Jersey by Vice President Sam Sumana, The New People will now focus some attention on the public relations officer of the All Peoples Congress in North America, Mr. Foday Mansaray. There are still additional and unanswered questions about his possible role alleged role in the Vice President's purchase of the US$1 million dollar home. It is in the spirit of transparency and zero tolerance for corruption as announced by President Ernest Bai Koroma that The New People continues asking revealing questions about the purchase of the US$1million dollar home by the Vice President, Samuel Sam-Sumana and the possible role of the Public Relations Officer of the All Peoples Congress in North America and mortgage broker. Attempts to reach him on his telephone number, 732 619 0297 and his e-mail address fmansaray@aol.com have proved yielded no answers. If there is nothing murky, why can't the APC's Public Relations Officer not just answer our simple questions? Well, The New People has indeed uncovered that Mr. Foday Mansaray has been a third party defendant in the Superior Court of New Jersey for some of his murky dealings.
The New People will make it easy with the following questions:
1. Mr. Foday Mansaray, are you involved in the real estate business in the Somerset County, New Jersey area, where the vice President has allegedly bought a new US$1million dollar home?
2. If your answer is "no," then please accept our apologies if you are not involved in the real estate business in the specific area where the Vice President has made the $1million dollar property purchase. If you want to deny the specifics of the question, may we ask whether you have been or are affiliated now with Eastern American Mortgage Company?
3. If you have been affiliated with Eastern American Mortgage Company, can you please tell the Sierra Leonean public whether you have used your affiliation with Eastern American Mortgage Company to purchase real property on behalf of any person, including Vice President Sam Sumana?
4. Have you ever purchased or sold property in the Bridgewater area, where Vice President has alledgedly bought a $1million dollar home?
The integrity of the APC's PRO for North America is questionable especially if he denies that he has never been involved in negotiating and concluding murky real-estate deals. The alleged negotiation of real estate purchase on behalf of Vice President Sam-Sumana when all the details will be brought to light will reveal clearly that this is pne of those murky real-estate deals.
The New People can now categorically assert that Mr. Foday Mansary has been involved in a murky real estate deal in the Somerset County area for which he was sued up to the Superior Court of New Jersey by David and Mija Kim. The said case was adjudicated by Judges Wefing, Wecker and Graves of the New Jersey Superior Court under DOCKET NO. A-5866-04T15866-04T1 IN WHICH Mr. Foday Mansaray alleges that he TWICE erroneosly filled a home insurance application on which he wrote/described the property as "owner-occupied." A judgement of $29,819.27 was entered against Mr. Mansaray after he failed to appear for arbitration on March 15, 2005 with a reason that he had travelled to Sierra Leone on an urgent family matter. He was adjudged to have failed to "file the request within thirty days of the arbitration award, let alone meet the threshold of extraordinary circumstances."
This is the Mr. Foday Mansaray who continues hedging and refusing to fully answer questions about the alleged real estate purchase by Vice President Sam Sumana. Mr. Foday Mansary has threatened to sue the "realtors" who have been providing The New People with cogent information about the alleged $1million dollar home purchase by the Vice President. In a telephone conversation with Sheku Kallon, Mr Foday Mansaray made specific threats that he would see to it that the realtors who are providing information to The New People about the alleged million dollar home purchase by Vice President Sam Sumana are stripped of their real-estate licence. He also reiterated his bogus threat that he would sue The New People and everybody associated with The New People.
WHEN MR FODAY MANSARAY SUES THE NEW PEOPLE, THIS PAPER WILL HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO MAKE STRIP HIM OF SOME OF THE MONEY HE HAS ALLEGEDLY MADE IN MURKY REAL ESTATE DEALS SUCH AS THE ONE FOR WHICH HE WAS SUED BY DAVID AND MIJA KIM. THE NEW PEOPLE WILL THEN REVEAL MORE DOCUMENTS SUCH AS A PHOTOCOPY OF THE ERNEST MONEY CHEQUE, COPIES OF DOCUMENTS WITH THE BUILDER OF THE PROPERTY SUCH AS THE OPTIONS SELECTIONS, AND OTHER SUCH DOCUMENTS RELEVANT TO THE CONSTRUCTION OF THE PROPERTY. THESE DOCUMENTS WILL REVEAL ANOTHER ANGLE TO THIS DUBIOUS DEAL. Perhaps, President Ernest Koroma has to start making good on his promise to the nation that he will not keep sacred cows around the party and his administration. The New People hopes that President Koroma transforms this sincerity in his statements into practice.
