Apology Accepted!

True and fair journalism must be seen to engage, embark and demonstrate inter alia the ethos and ethics of that entity. These values that underpin, the decent and unbalance journalism have to be upheld and protected by all means.
Having said that, I will proudly accept with no hesitation on behalf of His Excellency President Ernest Bai Koroma Mr Sitta Turay’s public apology. However, I have to also explicitly comprehend on this platform that, Mr Turay is a true journalist a remarkable gentleman and above all else a bonafide Sierra Leonean.
If someone of his calibre within the sphere of journalism erred and fully accepts the unpalatable error and thus, made a public apology, he has to be commended and duly respected per se.
Further, what should not ashamed to accept as fundamental in our day to day analyses of our country is, she is steadily going via a transition of democratization and face lifting. I can see the tension and thirst from angry citizens about the legitimate expectation we all have from the head of state and his administration to deliver in order to see Sierra Leone turn around to its early status or even better of post colonial era. The Act of Boot-Licking

The act of boot-licking seems never to have been mastered. Every day, attempts are made by some people to perfect it. One such example is a little known and read newspaper called ' the new rising sun"  which has christened itself the voice of the new APC. This paper is so poorly edited that one tends to ask : who are these writers? Today, there is an article exhorting people the world over to wear the color "red" on fridays in support of the SAlone presidency. That's pure sycophancy!

EBK Supporter Responds to New People Story on Ernest Koroma and Haja Hafsatu Kabba

Dear Editor,

Having gone through Umaru Sitta Turay's article at the New People website about Haja Hafsatu. Kabba,I was impressed with some his honest contribution about the history of the coming into power of President Ernest Koroma to power. But calling a head of State by his bear name leaving the noun that underpins his principle adjective as head of State (President) is uttered disrespect of which I am far from being impressed with. Yes there are people, as he had coherently stated contributed to aid him to power, but let’s make this explicit, Sierra Leone is not a Mickey Mouse charity institution it is bigger than the anyone including the President.

The sentiment of exploiting Sierra Leone, which have immensely contributed to its present status” the poorest in the world" did not reflex the true status of our country. Its does not matter to some extent what these people have done prior to the coming of APC into power, what is matter is their profound contribution to the development of the poorest country in the world to be one of the richest in Africa or the world, that’s the bottom line.

I personally know Mr. Alieu Asomta Sesay in London, the President didn't dump him, and there is time for everyman or every purpose. His time will one day come's believe me, he will be the core member of the President’s cabinet before long, but he has to wait until his fruit is ripe and ready to be eaten! Haja Hafsatu Kabba and Kemoh have there selves to blame, News papers are always highlighting the venerable issue of the President having scared cows in his cabinet. Now he has set the record straight that, he has no scared cow within his axis of fighting corruption, Umaru is complaining. He did not personally order the investigation of these culprits, the ACC is completely independent from political interference neither media. Please use your knowledge, media experience and human rights(Art.10 ECHR) to criticise the government where it is sensible to doing so and applaud them where is it rational of doing exactly that, thank you.

President Koroma is very resilient, stubborn for success and we urged him to keep fighting, he is the only head of state in the history of Sierra Leone that have sacked eleven ministers within short period of his reign and will continuing to do so until the attitude of these greedy criminals stop. Sierra Leone can never change if her leaders are sick. This is classical example, If a human being has a mental disability nothing will function properly in his life, so let’s us apply this scenario to change Sierra Leone. Change is the hardest thing people hate or dislikes to embrace, but change will prevail in Sierra Leone. The President will follow President Obama’s passion of change. No sacred cows in Sierra Leone!
