As APC Adamu Resurfaces….Violence Resumes in Kono

Adamu Eze, who is widely believed to be the ring leader of almost all of the disturbances that have taken place in Kono since the APC assumed power in 2007 was arrested few months ago and locked behind police bars for crimes ranging from rape to physical attacks on peaceful people, especially people suspected to be supporters of the opposition Sierra Leone People’s Party (SLPP).
Reports monitored from the eastern district of Kono indicate that violence attacks on innocent citizens by people believed to be associated with the ruling All People’s Congress (APC) party continue unabated.

Sources close the ruling APC government have informed the New People that the attack on the opposition motorcade in the Eastern Town of Koidu in Kono District was ordered by President Ernest Koroma. President Koroma the source said gave strict orders to his Vice President Sam Sumana to make sure the opposition does not hold any successful meeting in the district. The source decided to reveal this information to the New People because she believes such actions by the APC will definitely lead to another war in the country.
The people of Kono District, Eastern Sierra Leone, have vowed that they will not give their allegiance to the ruling All People’s Congress (APC) come 2012, if their roads, which are in a deplorable condition, are not repaired soonest.
Investigations and interviews conducted by this reporter recently indicate that the people of Kono are strong in their resolve to abandon the ruling APC, if their roads, especially the one leading to the city, are not rehabilitated.
