Maada Manchester United Versus Ernest Arsenal

Written by Boozable

You can tell a ripe corn by its looks. It is becoming as clear as crystal that the November 17 election will be a straight fight between the (mis)ruling APC and the main opposition SLPP. Listening to the garrulous and innately corrupt Alpha Kanu some time in last year after Manchester United inflicted a devastating blow on Arsenal by walloping them 8-2 at Old Trafford the home ground of the former, he drew analogy from that match by saying that Ernest will win the 2012 elections in similar fashion.

We are pleased to announce a raft of confirmed top-level speakers this week including Joop Jensen, Technical Director, The Royal Dutch Football Federation, Helene Masanja, CEO, Future Century Ltd, Tanzania, Erick De La Fuente, Head of Media Technology, FIFA World Cup 2010 LOC, Dr Errol Sweeney, Former L.o.I, SA Premier League and World Cup Referee and the Federation of Ugandan Football Associations. All of these will feature on this year’s comprehensive agenda that is bigger and better than ever before.

LIBREVILLE, Gabon, January 20, 2012/ -- On the eve of the 2012 African Cup of Nations, more than 25 footballers including Seydou Keita from Mali, Charles Kaboré from Burkina Faso, Demba Bâ from Sénégal and Lawali Idrissa from Niger have spoken out in solidarity with millions of people facing hunger across their region. They are appealing to the international community to work together so that “We CAN win the match against hunger”.

His Excellency President Ernest Bai Koroma’s minister of Sports and Youth Employment Paul Kamara share certain interests; for example he like his scotch neat or with water while I prefer my campari on the rocks. The individual tastes notwithstanding, there are certain things that we cannot stand.

Why Leone Stars Failed To Win

Written by Admin

Information scattered all over Freetown and beyond indicate that there was a big problem in the Leone Stars camp that affected the morale and psyche of the players before the South Africa match on Sunday, which was a must win match for Sierra Leone. According to sources, there was a players’ revolt in camp 24 hours before kick off. Apparently, the SLFA boss Nahim Khadi who had said over radio programs that he has unlimited funds, more than even Real Madrid and Manchester United,  had promised the players $1000 (one thousand dollars) each as appearance fee for the match. This jolted some of them into action and they flew in from their various destinations for the match. In fact they all moved into camp as soon as they arrived and had seen some family members.

On Sunday September 5, the Sierra Leone national football team (Leone Stars) will lock horns with their Egyptian counterparts (The Pharaohs) in an African Cup of Nations (ACN) qualifier in Cairo. This will be the first encounter between the two nations in decades, and both sides are fortifying themselves for the encounter. The Egyptian population weary of the suspension of star front men Amr Zaki and Shikabala quickly found comfort when Egyptian tabloids covering the match characterized the Sierra Leone side as weak and less formidable for Egypt. Television stations providing the evening Ramadan entertainment are already mustering fans for the match as songs of praises broadcast on all radio stations and national flags color the streets. Twenty two players from 6 home-based football clubs, including veteran goal keeper Essam Al-hadari and highest goal scorer and most-capped Captain Ahmed Hassan are joined by Sunderland’s Ahmed El-Mohamady for the game.
